Dr. Brent A. Larson, DDS
Dr. Brent received his BA from the University of Utah and his DDS for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1979. After completing a General Practice Residency with the VA system in Salt Lake City, he joined his father in private practice in 1980.
During his practice Dr. Brent has been active in the Dental Association having served on multiple boards and committees both locally and nationally. He recently completed an eight-year term on the Utah State Board of Dental Examiners. Dr. Brent stays current and has been awarded a Fellowship and Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, their highest award in continuing education achievement. He is a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists, both honorary organizations. He has been honored as “Dentist of the Year” by the Utah Academy of General Dentistry, and was given the “Meritorious Service Award” by the Utah State Dental Association, their highest honor. He currently reviews manuscripts for a national Dental Journal, and serves as Board Examiner for the Western Regional Dental Board Exam.
Dr. Brent’s emphasis over the years has been to provide excellent value and care for his patients. He has a great staff and loves working in a caring, friendly environment.
Dr. Matthew Larson, DDS
Dr. Matt Larson has practiced as a general, implant, and reconstructive dentist in Salt Lake City since graduating from Creighton University and completing his residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital. In 2009 he joined his father, Dr. Brent Larson, in the Downtown area in the same private practice that his grandfather established in 1954.
During his residency, Dr. Matt received advanced training in all aspects of dentistry with a focus on implant surgery and IV sedation (sleep dentistry). He worked alongside some of the most respected and revered specialists in complex crown and bridge work, full mouth reconstruction, implant supported and retained dentures as well as root canals and advanced periodontal surgery, including tissue and bone grafting.
To continue learning and to give back to the community, Dr. Matt remains on staff at the VA Hospital where he works in the general dental department one day per week. Dr. Matt is also a Certifed provider for Clear Correct invisible braces.
